The grassland is a biome where it is primarily flat land with large amounts of grass. Some of these biomes are the praire of North America and the savana of Africa. Due to this, many of the atributes that help a birds in other regions survive tend to do slgihtly less in these areas. Some of the birds that differ the most from their flightful counterparts are the ostrich and the secretary bird. The ostrich is by far one of the largest birds in the world and one of the fastest, however in exchange for these things the ostrich has no ability for flight. The secretary bird is yet another bird with a dislike of flight, but it can still fly if needed. These birds prefer their extremely powerful legs that they use to stomp on snakes.
